Selling EXFO CoLT-350 – We Buy New Used CoLT-350 (‘s) Top Dollar Paid!

If you’re looking to Sell EXFO CoLT-350 MaxTester ADSL2+ Triple Play Tester

EXFO Colt-350 MaxTester

A NEXT-GENERATION TOOL FOR BROADBAND DEPLOYMENT
EXFO’s CoLT-350 is the perfect tool for any service provider deploying ADSL2+ and triple-play services. It has been designed to stand up to the challenges of the outside plant environment. The CoLT-350’s small form factor, rugged design and easy-to-use menu system are ideal for installation technicians. It makes the test process highly automated, and allows technicians to close their jobs quickly and efficiently.

The CoLT-350’s large display makes it even more user-friendly, and when it comes to saving results, it provides technicians with many connectivity options for uploading tests and compiling reports.

TEST TRADITIONAL ADSL
CoLT-350 is based on the industry-leading Broadcom chipset, which ensures excellent interoperability for ADSL2+ when testing against other Broadcom-based devices and other vendors’ chipsets. It also allows the use of Broadcom’s ADSL2+ Nitro mode to negotiate with Broadcom-based DSLAMs in order to achieve data rates as high as 30 Mbit/s (depending on DSLAM setup, loop length, noise influences and circuit quality). Nitro™ is a proprietary Broadcom approach that increases the throughput on links by compressing the ADSL2+ ATM header, thus requiring fewer bits to be transmitted.

Ensuring the highest quality triple-play services to customers is a must for service providers, but it is also quite a challenge with aging copper plant. One industry standard method that helps achieve this is the xDSL impulse noise protection (INP) parameter, which is particularly important when deploying IPTV services based on ADSL2+. For example, INP helps reduce the amount of macro-blocking in an IPTV stream caused by short duration and intermittent impulse noise spikes. The CoLT-350 has a complete implementation of the ITU-T INP standard for values ranging from 0 to 16.

SIMPLIFYING FTTX TESTING
Thanks to its xDSL and dual Ethernet ports, the CoLT-350 is a very flexible tool for service providers qualifying service all the way from the central office to the customer’s equipment. The CoLT-350 also provides powerful capabilities in troubleshooting applications where it can be used in different modes to quickly isolate faults no matter where they are located (network, outside plant, customer equipment or inside wiring). Even in hybrid networks where FTTH is also being deployed, the CoLT-350’s Ethernet ports can be used inside the home to test at any point where a LAN connection is available.

Web Browser
Many telcos require that technicians use a Web browser to confirm service operation or as visual proof to the customer. Up to now, technicians required a PC in addition to the test set to do this. Thanks to the CoLT-350’s integrated browser, carrying a laptop to the job location is no longer necessary. The CoLT-350 browser allows the user to access websites and load a web page as part of any auto test directly from the test set. Just as any other browser, it can bookmark commonly used URLs and allows the user to save new ones in real-time as needed. Complete navigation and the selection of hyperlinks are all a part of this optional feature.

Data Service Testing
Data services are the backbone of most broadband networks, and subscribers continue to have higher and higher expectations of network performance as the popularity of multimedia sites and services continues to accelerate. For this reason, technicians must not only test the connectivity of data services but they must be able to validate performance against committed service levels.

The CoLT-350 data services test suite meets these requirements by providing automated tests for IP ping, traceroute and FTP upload/download. As with all the CoLT-350 tests, the data services tests can be executed over the xDSL or Ethernet interfaces for thorough installation and troubleshooting in the outside plant and inside the customer premises.

ALL THE RIGHT FEATURES FOR INSTALLATION TECHNICIANS
With its small form factor, the CoLT-350 can go anywhere you need to go. It is rugged and light, and all connectors are protected from the rain—just what is needed for the demanding outside-plant environment.

Automated Service Testing
Thresholds can be set and saved for key DSL parameters as well as for the data and IPTV service tests. When tests are run, users are given a clear graphical pass/fail result so they can quickly move onto the next job or investigate further. Test profiles can be easily transferred between units to ensure all technicians from the same organization are testing to the same thresholds.

Easy to Use
The CoLT-350’s next-generation user interface has been designed with the first-level technician in mind. The large display makes use of colored icons and graphics for easy configuration and operation, simple to use for experienced and novice users alike.

Capturing Results and Connectivity
In today’s highly competitive environment, quality of service is paramount for service providers. CoLT-350 allows reports of all tests to be uploaded in a variety of formats. Therefore, service providers can keep all results on file for future reference and confirm all required tests have been completed by the technician.

Battery Powered
CoLT-350 is fitted with a battery using the latest technology in rechargeable cells. It provides the maximum testing time between charges, even when using the high power demands of VDSL2. When charging is required, technicians can either use the optional 12 Volt vehicle charger or the supplied AC adapter.

Features:

  • ADSL2+ testing, with optional VDSL2 for hybrid networks
  • Ethernet testing for qualifying FTTx service at the customer premises
  • Data testing and Web browser for complete service qualification
  • Configurable pass/fail results for automated testing

You Need VDSL2 and Ethernet to Deliver HD IPTV

VDSL2’s high-speed capability not only breathes new life into your existing copper plant but it allows you to reduce churn and gain market share in delivering triple-play services to your customers. High-definition (HD) IPTV service is the killer application for VDSL2 deployment as it requires the most bandwidth and the best quality of service (QoS) that your customers have come to expect.

EXFO’s AXS-200/635 offers a quick, yet thorough method for testing triple-play services—VDSL2 and Ethernet-based data, VoIP and IPTV testing—using pass/fail-driven automated functionalities.

In addition to validating connectivity to the DSLAM, the AXS-200/635 provides upstream and downstream parameters such as actual data rates, attenuation and noise margin. What’s more, it delivers advanced IPTV measurements—packet jitter, packet loss, PCR jitter, MDI, PID viewer and IGMP zap time—both in Terminate (stand-alone) and Through mode operation. The AXS-200/635 also monitors residential VoIP call flow and statistics, facilitating VoIP QoS assurance.

Single-Ended Video and Data Rate Analysis

The AXS-200/635 single-ended video and data rate analyzer software option allows you to determine the xDSL data rates that a copper loop will support, prior to connecting/provisioning the circuit. With this new feature, you can evaluate a circuit’s ability to carry ADSL2+ bit rates at the CO or the customer premises and find out how many IPTV channels can be supported during the pre-deployment stage. Thanks to this industry-leading option, you can:

  • Prequalify and validate circuits without having to install terminal equipment
  • Reduce the number of false positives (failed installs)
  • Decrease the cost of identifying up-sell opportunities (customers wanting newer/faster video and network applications such as ADSL2+ and IPTV)

Impulse Noise Protection +

You need to provide your customers with comprehensive assurance against poor triple-play services. With this in mind, the telecom industry has adopted the DSL-based impulse noise protection (INP) parameter, which is particularly important when deploying IPTV services based on VDSL2 and ADSL2+. For example, the INP helps reduce the amount of macro-blocking in an IPTV stream caused by short duration and intermittent impulse noise spikes. However, the downside of standard INP implementation is that it can limit the speed of VDSL2 (or ADSL2+) offered to customers as well as the addressable service area (distance).

The AXS-200/635 supports the traditional INP parameter as well as Broadcom’s innovative approach to INP called PhyR™. This technology allows for significantly lower BER, higher DSL rate and longer reach compared to standard INP implementations. As a result, the AXS-200/635 can be used to verify and ensure consistent QoS for DSL-based IPTV deployments without impacting speed or performance of the DSL link.

True Backward-Compatible and Interoperable Testing

Since the AXS-200/635 is based on the industry-leading Broadcom chipset, you are assured of excellent interoperability for VDSL2 and ADSL2+ when testing against other Broadcom chipset-based devices as well as other manufacturer chipsets.

Thanks to the AXS-200/635’s Broadcom chipset, you can use the Broadcom’s Nitro mode when testing ADSL2+ to effectively negotiate with DSLAM (also using a Broadcom chipset) in order to achieve data rates as high as 30 Mbit/s (depending on DSLAM setup, loop length, noise influences and circuit quality).

30 MHz Testing: Get the Whole Picture

For many telcos, installing ADSL links has gone quite smoothly; however, preparing the copper loop plant for triple-play services is another story. EXFO’s AXS-200/635 provides a full VDSL2 spectrum analysis in order to identify and locate disturbances and signal interferers affecting voice and video delivery over the last mile. It also offers an extensive range of single-ended tests that help you quickly locate and repair the faults that affect quality of service (QoS).

Detecting Excessive Spectral Noise

Use the AXS-200/635’s 30 MHz Power Spectral Density Noise feature to manage the spectrum in the cable bundle. The unit’s graphic display helps to determine which service is deployed on the loop and at what power level. This is the best technique to use in identifying signals that are running too strong for the bundle, and it is essential in unbundled local loop environments for spectral policing.

Loop Mapper Makes It Simple

The AXS-200/635’s convenient and powerful Loop Mapper tool simplifies the detection of faults, bridge taps or cable ends. By automatically selecting the time-domain reflectometer (TDR) and/or the frequency-domain reflectometer (FDR), based on the line conditions, Loop Mapper displays a straightforward wiring diagram that includes the loop distances, for easy interpretation.

Complete Metallic Testing Including Digital Multimeter (DMM) and Voice Frequency (VF)

With the AXS-200/635, AC and DC voltage measurements are automatically performed and documented, without having to press countless buttons or having to move the test leads. The AXS-200/635 also measures AC and DC current to offer a complete picture of the electrical stability on the circuit under test. Additionally, it measures capacitance and resistance, while automatically converting measured capacitance/resistance into distance values for loop length assessment.

Selling EXFO CoLT 250+ – We Buy New Used CoLT 250+ (‘s) Top Dollar Paid!

If you’re looking to Sell EXFO CoLT 250+ ADSL2+ ADSL2 ADSL Service Test Set

CoLT-250+
The lightweight, handheld solution for testing ADSL2+, ADSL2, RE-ADSL and ADSL

  • Simple, easy to use
  • ADSL2+, ADSL2, RE-ADSL and ADSL service con?rmation test set
  • Connects easily to the pair at the NID or directly to the customer’s DSL line jack
  • Able to save multiple results in memory
  • Field upgradable (software)
  • Operates from disposable or rechargeable batteries
  • Equipped to upload test results to a PC

CONFIRM ACCURATE SERVICE
The CoLT-250+ determines the upstream and downstream ADSL2+, ADSL2, RE-ADSL, or ADSL connection rates at the subscriber’s premise and ensures a properly provisioned circuit.

MEET REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS
Many service providers must track the quality of their installations to internal quality requirements or for reporting to regulatory bodies. Multiple test results can be saved with a date and time stamp along with a circuit number or name entered by the technician. Test results can be uploaded to any standard PC for the purposes of record keeping or further analysis.

OPTIMIZE THE LOCAL LOOP
The CoLT-250+ confirms that the local loop can support the promised rate of DSL service. If the wiring does not support the promised rate or cannot deliver any service at all, the CoLT-250+ can be used to test at various points back through the network to hunt for the signal and track its degradation. The CoLT-250+ is easy to carry from point to point, battery powered, highly portable and designed for indoor and outdoor use.

WORKS WITH THE DSLAM
The CoLT-250+ utilizes an actual ADSL2+ modem inside. This means that the CoLT-250+ works with the latest DSLAM’s, giving upstream/downstream connection information identical to that provided by the ATU-C’s installed in the DSLAM’s. Loop plant records and automated test systems can pre-qualify a loop, but are unable to predict with 100% certainty the level of DSL service that is delivered. Automated test systems that depend on narrow-band measurements cannot give a true picture of wideband loop quality. The CoLT-250+displays the actual connection rates, as a subscriber would see them.

MaxTester DSL is based on the industry-leading Broadcom chipset, which ensures excellent interoperability for ADSL2+ when testing against other Broadcom-based devices and other vendors’ chipsets. One industry standard method that helps achieve this is the xDSL impulse noise protection (INP) parameter, which is particularly important when deploying IPTV services based ADSL2+. For example, INP helps reduce the amount of macro-blocking in an IPTV stream caused by short duration and intermittent impulse noise spikes. The MaxTester DSL has a complete implementation of the ITU-T INP standard for values rangin from 0 to 16.

KEY FEATURES

  • IP login Authenticates on the network and confirms correct operation
